Is your product data ready for AS 1:2026?

Answer 14 yes, partly or not yet questions. See which of the four conformance levels you could reach today, and the three gaps worth closing first.

Level 1
1. A valid IFC file

Can you export the product as IFC 4.3 (or IFC4 ADD2 TC1 as an interim) that passes the buildingSMART validation service?

Level 1
2. Correct units, origin and orientation

Does the object use the right units, sit on a sensible origin, and face the right way?

Level 1
3. A classification code

Is the product classified (an Aayaam Classification Code, or at least a Uniclass 2015 / ISO 12006-2 equivalent)?

Level 1
4. The minimum property set

Does the object carry manufacturer, product code or model, IFC entity type and warranty period?

Level 1
5. Real parametric geometry

Is the geometry parametric (editable parameters), rather than a fixed mesh?

Level 1
6. Two levels of detail

Do you have a simple version for early design and a detailed one for construction drawings?

Level 2
7. Tested in two platforms and a viewer

Has the object been imported and checked in at least two authoring tools (for example Revit and ArchiCAD) and one IFC viewer?

Level 2
8. Parametric variants

Do all your standard sizes and variants work from the same object?

Level 2
9. Geometry within budget

Is the object within 15,000 triangles (simple products) or 50,000 (complex equipment) at its highest detail?

Level 3
10. Regulatory data, where it applies

Does the object correctly carry BIS licence and IS code, BEE star rating and validity, and seismic-zone suitability (IS 1893) wherever they apply to your product?

Level 3
11. Maintenance and lifecycle data

Is there a maintenance and lifecycle data set a facility manager could use at handover?

Level 3
12. Re-verification process

Can you re-check the object every 24 months, and immediately when the product specification changes?

Level 4
13. A live data connection

Does the object have a live data connection, or a documented protocol for one, for use in a digital twin?

Level 4
14. Circularity data

Do you provide recyclability, disassembly and material-passport data?

Questions

Is this the official AS 1:2026 assessment?

No. It is a self-assessment against the published text of AS 1:2026. Only Aayaam verification can award an AS1 conformance mark.

What are the four AS 1:2026 levels?

AS1 Compliant, AS1 Verified, AS1 Certified and AS1 Advanced. Each level includes all requirements of the levels below it.

Is my data stored?

No. The check runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent unless you choose to send your result to Aayaam on WhatsApp.
